Winter is well and truly here, but a heater next to the painting table has encouraged progress

Figures are now painted and touch ups done :) :)

I'll check them again tomorrow and if I haven't missed anything they will be washed :!!

Finally got some decent weather to take some pics of the completed 1914 Highland battalion that PaulR painted for me recently. Only using a camera phone so hope they do justice to the subjects.

The battalion does not represent any particular regiment but the kilts are done in Black Watch tartan colours.

Included the middle one just to prove that the sun does show up occasionally here in Wellington  :o

Final dry brush and figure bases were done yesterday :)

They didn't have enough drying time before Peter picked me up for our game yesterday so I will pack them up and he can collect them next week

That is the last of the painting for the Third Echelon, I have really enjoyed painting them

I think it's fair to say we have really enjoyed following your progress.

 :)

Hopefully the weather will cooperate so I can get some pictures before I pack them up for Peter

Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate and I didn't get a chance to take any pictures before Peter collected the Germans last night :(

I'm sure he will take some pictures once they are based up

Fortunately the weather hasn't been as bad here as it has in the South Island and my son lives in a part of Christchurch that didn't have to be evacuated due to flooding #:-S
