I packed up the Germans ready drop off with Pierre the Shy on Saturday, he will be basing these figures :)

Got the British batch under coated :)

Plan B is leather covers for the kilts :-[

The Germans are base coated Vallejo 70.920 German Uniform
Dry brushed with one of 972 Light Green Blue, 905 Blue Grey Pale, 991 Dark Sea Grey
Washed with dilute Tamiya X-19 Smoke
A final light dry brush with 70986 Deck Tan

Second German Infantry Regiment collected off Paul....Tonight I painted and cut out 54 bases and made up labels for the regiment.....

Tomorrow start basing up figures......progress  :o :-bd

Based up all three battalions and two Regimental HQ's plus (already have the MG companies done).

Mainly for looks, I have added battalion and regimental colours to each HQ stand, though there are clear examples of German regiments marching into Belgium with uncased colours at the very beginning of the conflict.

I have not chosen any specific units to depict but I have used flags from Pendraken's PNFL 71 Franco-Prussian flag sheet. I just used PVA to glue the flags in place and then"crease" them before the glue sets to make it look like they are flapping in the wind. Once dry I painted the edges the appropriate colours to complete the look. Quite pleased with the overall effect as the HQ's standout a bit amongst the masses of Feldgrau :)

Now just need to flock 60 odd bases and then add labels.
