2018 Painting Competition - Runner-Up!

My replacement fold down writing desk arrived on Saturday  :)

I got the chance to 'christen' it last night  :) :) :)

Last batch of this echelon prepared, 17 various German cavalry for Peter to use as signallers etc

It is slightly smaller than my last desk and the pigeon holes are laid out differently which makes it feel a bit strange when using it, I'm sure I'll get used to it

Photobucket has become very wobbly for me and has taken a savage dislike to Adblockers.

The three top contenders I am looking at are:-

Of course as a card carrying member of the Ancient Order of Procrastinators I haven't got around to selecting which one yet  :-[.

Cavalry horses base coated and highlighted :)

Except for one horse where I only noticed I'd missed a couple of small areas of base coat near the reins  when about to highlight ~X(
Base coat touched up, will be highlighted when properly dry :-w :-w

:) I hate that when that happens - still, I suppose they must come from somewhere, the beasts knight errants ride.

I based and labelled the Highland battalion recently, turned out very well  :) Currently going to work before the sun rises and getting home at sunset so not much chance to take pics yet I'm afraid.

Received the "small" scenery order I had made for various WW1 scenarios today too - very tightly packed box of goodies to prepare in time for Call to Arms in a few weeks.  :-bd

Just hope the thermometer rises enough to allow paint to dry.....winter has really arrived here in NZ this week.
