Very nice painting, lots of variety.

Now they've knocked me down and taken it, that still hot and smoking gun.

Inspiration- me?  :o

Yup - all them Swiss pikemen with a zillion flags followed by a clowder of red, twisty Burgundian crosses looking like every picture I've ever seen of Roicroi - yes, inspirational!

I got Monmouth's Yellow Regiment on their bases and placed on a monement stand (magnetic sabot). Put them in a little deeper formation then usual:

Looking very nice! Seeing all of these shote and long pointy thingies has me wanting to start working on some of my TYW armies - a favorite period.

One of my favourite quotations from Dean Swift: We have just enough religion to make us hate, not love one another.  (Swift's punctuation, not mine)
I don't drink coffee to wake up. I wake up to drink coffee.

Even with amended punctuation it is too long to put on a flag in 10mm.

I always liked "He was a brave man who first ate an oyster."

Thanks for the comments, gentlemen. I now have the fifth regiment (Green) on painting sticks as well as the second squadron of Grey's Horse and two light guns.

I am not sure if "squadron" is an applicable term at this time BTW.

I think everyone should wargame the Musket and Pike period. Since I hate painting horses, however, I tend to shy away from the TYW, but I enjoy looking at what every one else does.  :)
