Flag connoiseurs?

We'd like to extend the flags range, but unfortunately my knowledge on flags is severely lacking.  So have we got any flag connoiseurs on the Forum who would be willing to give me some links, or send me some images I can work from to draw up some new flags?  I think a lot of the 19th C. ranges are missing their flags at the moment, so that could be a useful starting point, but really any help would be great?

Not certain what flags are wanted, but Warflag has a resonable selection of standards and is free to use. They are sized for 20-28mm, but easily manipulated - even with Word.

Leon,

I dabble in the anorak clad depths of vexillology.   I have supplied a lot of stuff to Dave on Prussian and other German states flags over a year ago, and they seemed to get close to production, but then stopped. The current material you have on FPW German flags seems to be largely based on warflag stuff, and suffers from all the problems that their material for this period suffers from.  Most of them are "conjectural", and do not use the German sources which would allow us to produce pretty accurate versions of most of these flags.  I have access to a number of these, and could could provide something on a variety of states, if you can give me a hint at what you are looking for.  Otherwise, a brilliant German source site is historischer-bilderdienst.de

cheers

I've had a browse through Warflag, but I'll still have to draw them out myself, as they're only for personal use.

I might have some of those ready somewhere.  We've been working through a load of flags we've had on the computer for some time, ready to go into the catalogue.  I'll check with Dave and see where yours ended up, and get back to you.

I'd be interested in getting something into the catalogue for the rest of the 19th C. nations, like the Austrians, Danes, and Italians.  After that, we'd like to redo all the Napoleonic flags for the new range.

Thanks for the link Dan. Some really nice stuff there.

Cheers Dan, I'll have a browse through those.
