I don't know if any of you listen to podcasts? Not only do I do a WW2 Podcast but I've been roped into helping produce a podcast for Wargames, Soldiers & Strategy.

As you lot persuaded me to pick up some 10mm miniatures (WW1) I suggested when it came to looking at miniatures on the podcast we chat to our very own Leon from @Pendraken.

I thought it might be of interested... (don't forget to subscribe on iTunes for regular updates).

I am a subscriber to the WWII podcast. Find it a great mix of the "well we all know about that .. oh that's interesting" and the "the what?" I shall certainly give this podcast a go, though I've been disappointed by other podcasts on the subject 'cos there's a lot of stuff on 'em that plain doesn't interest me.

But our own Dark Lord's voice being captured? Can't wait.

Wait ... Chaps ... does Leon talk pretty? He doesn't have a voice like a marsh pippet being raped by a wildcat does he? Tell me it's more Roger Moore than Joe Pasquali. Would be so disappointed if the Dark Lord talks like Jasper Carrot on Helium. Or a West Coast preppie - "Like, it takes forever to get Techno to youknow,, like do ANYthing.". Or Peter Mandleson.  I'd accept Churchillian, but would be so very pleased if it was very like Noel Coward. Doe she have an accent? Is it inpenetrable? Do he communicate in gutteral grunts and squeaks? I've seen his posts - perhaps he's just surfer dude - "Yeah man. Tiny men are rad. Cool".

Damn this being in work! Need to go home and listen now!

Glad you enjoy the WW2 Podcast!

Hopefully we can keep your interest with the WSS podcast. We're trying to keep it relatively game agnostic and the aim is we to try and keep it short without to much talk of ourselves.

I say short, the latest episode is an hour I don't think they need to be longer that that! People only have so much time to listen!

Leon was awesome we had a great chat....

Thanks for posting this. Am a subscriber to WSS but never listened to the podcast - I shall try to do so from now on.
FWIW - to my ear the presenters sounded like a Westrosi knight from the Reach conversing with a Flea Bottom artificer, Leon much like the typical Nights Watch officer and Julian a Bravosi sea captain who makes the Kings Landing - Bravos - Sunspear run.  :)

Leon much like the typical Nights Watch officer ...

I've got an oddly deep voice with a bit of a mixed accent unfortunately, not quite your typical British gent!

To be fair though, you're American. Probably think Dick van Dyke sounds like a Cockernee, or James Doohan sounds like a Scotsman, or indeed anyone in Scotlandf ever sounded like Mel Gibson.  :P

Downloaded the podcast and listened to it on the drive home. Some observations.
     1) Leon has a butch voice. Unless he was dubbed by Jimmy Nail.
     2) Not enough Leon on the podcast.  :D
     3) Interesting the difference between metal and plastics. Apparently you need a cad for plastics, but we have Gentleman Techno instead. I may have missed the point there.
     4) The economics is scary. Puts one off making frivolous requests.
     5) Leon has a really butch voice.

Well, Yeah! Said with the inflection here (warning - language) ;) :)

But to return to the thread - Leon was able to convey a vivid picture of Techno et.al. sticking green stuff on wee tiny armatures.

That's not what you said on the 'phone to me.  You said something about "sounds like a Lady boy at a g**g b**g"  Although to be fair it was a bad line, so I could not tell if it was Leon you were talking about or what you had planned for the weekend  :D

FSN - "James Doohan sounds like a Scotsman"

Given the amount of lead he stopped and survived, Mr Doohan can claim to sound like whatever he wants, I ain't going to argue. Doubly so if he;s still circling up there, fixing stuff no matter how disembodied he might be ;)

Listened to the pod cast, interesting stuff. Somehow everyone on the internet sounds a bit weord. Except me, I sound fine. Hello, hello, hello,   is anyone listening?

In my mind's ear a toxic pixie sounds something like Tyrion Lannister on helium. :D

Just listened to the Podcast and it was excellent.

Leon sounds just like his Dad (unsurprisingly), so much so I thought " Its Dave doing the interview".  Leon came across very well.  Not an easy thing to do.
