Nothing yet, Matt had been working over in the States last week so he's just got back and is going to start looking through the server logs.  I've contacted the hosting company myself, but they're proving somewhat unhelpful so far.

The website is still up and running though, it's just the Google links that have got problems.  Any direct links take you straight there without any trouble:  www.pendraken.co.uk

It's completely safe to order as well, we promise not to send you any shoes...

Matt will have his investigation finished by tomorrow and then we'll know where we stand.  He's going to be performing a 'penetration test' tonight (oo..er missus!     ) to see if there's any holes in the website security and make sure there's no way for hackers to gain entry.  I'm not expecting there to be any, so if 123-reg don't want to accept responsibility for it, we're going to have to move hosts instead.

Probably means a line by line comparison of the server stored website page against Matt's stored back up and looking for conditional hacks. Incidentally  they show Visa Approved and Mastercard Securecode on their website - maybe make a complaint through  them.

Christian Louboutin themselves have a site set up to report counterfeit goods, so I've already notified them.  I doubt it's going to fix our problem, but at least these parasites will get shut down.  Louboutin are quite proactive when it comes to suing these forgers, they've got a list of their successful cases online.

I just want it to be fixed quickly, as this is costing us a lot at the moment, both financially and in terms of our reputation.

Isn't that funny, tried it on my phone and Adblock browser shows the normal page and Chrome shows the shoes. So Adblock is stopping something on the server page that leads to the shoes. Adblock on Firefox (windows) is not stopping the shoes. Will check it out AM (my time)

Did a thorough test this morning. Adblock Browser for Android successfully stops the redirect, Chrome for Android does not, Firefox (Windows 7) with Adblock plugin does not. Chrome with Adblock does not.

Have asked on Adblock forum to see if we can find the reason why Adblock Browser is more successful.

Has Matt done a complete restore from backup?

He's been checking the site but I've not heard from him yet. 

The trouble is that we're 99% sure the hack/problem isn't contained within any of our website files, it's somewhere on 123-reg's server.  There's nothing dodgy that we can see within our site, so with 123-reg denying any responsibility, we're stuck until we can move the site to a new host instead.

Matt's checks are just to cover that 1% chance, and then once we've confirmed it's their fault, we'll get the website moved.  Moving servers usually means a few days of downtime though, so I think Matt's got some kind of stop-gap that should stop that from happening.

123 are never going to admit it's their fault though, otherwise they'd be liable for the £1000's we've lost in sales so far this month.
