Our next outing sees us heading up the Claymore show up in Edniburgh, taking place onSaturday 6th August.  This one is a great day out and last year was one of the best we've had, so we're hoping for good things again this year!

I'll be heading there with a party of three or four family members in tow so looking forward to the day, to catching up with old friends and to seeing the Pendraken crew.

Since the Adam House days I've only missed 3 shows,so I'll be there too.

Pretty certain it was at Adam House I first encountered Pendraken,various army packs were bought.
Barbarian,Dwarfs,Orcs and Undead ! no Elves,no liked Elves but that's Tolkein's fault.

Easy to spot ! Baldy greybeard sporting many tattoos and glasses.In the interests of clarity it's only one pair of glasses ;)

I will be at Claymore this year but I won't be running a charity stall for once, that period of my hobbytime is over, two and a half years is a long stint.

There will be at least two other charity stands if my inside information is correct so please check them out, I will.

I am not scheduled for any club stewarding as technically speaking I am not a member of the host club although I may volunteer some assistance. I haven't planned anything along those lines as I am up for surgery and I foolishly said I could take up any cancellations just to get the job done before Crisis in November.

Claymore itself is too big a show for me to do a full photo report on my blog although I may photoblog about things that catch my eye.

I will be collecting some pre-ordered goodies here and there and I will probably succumb to some impulse buys, always fun.

I will be talking to many of my old friends (god they are a diminishing bunch) as I see them as the highlight of the show and I will no doubt talk to some of my new friends as I do like a have a blether.

Failing all that I hope everyone has a good day at Claymore 2016.

Spotted the 'Spartans' thingy also and wondered since when are they calling themselves as such? Who knows? Might have started something there!
Anyhoo. Plan to put in an appearance .... probably after a nice lunch in Edinburgh city centre with the family ... so (as usual) probably won't get to meet any of the guys on the forum.   :(

OK dokey. Don't know when I will be there exactly (between 1.30 & 2.00?) and haven't yet decided on what creation I will wear on the day. But when I do turn up (new Edinburgh 20 mph speed limit permitting), I'll probably have on a casual shirt, blue jeans and white trainers. Other distinguishing features (apart from being suave and debonair)? Being an old fashioned guy, I have a grey-white moustache and hair (my wife says 'silver') and silver rimmed specs.  :-B

@ Alan (the guy I met at Vapnartak), if reading this, sorry, being an eejit, I forget what you look like (lucky you?), but if you are there too and you see me, please say hello.

[btw, the only one I know to look at is Jim (I think!) so if anyone else sees me (or someone like me? - might be fun), I'm not ignoring you so please also introduce yourself].

I'll deffo be there with the clan (son, nephew and cousin) though currently doing the cat-herding exercise of arranging where we'll meet who, when!
