Have Pendraken changed the metal they use? I've found, while cleaning up my latest purchases, that each stroke of the knife or file has more effect. Is it a softer metal?

Leon

Not unless the suppliers have switched it without telling us!

Maybe your knife is sharper than it was. I have a mini whetstone on my work desk.

HAH !!

I was saying to Mrs T that I thought some of the white metal was harder, rather than softer, as the burrs were taking more time to ream bits off.
It does seem to vary, though....So maybe the composition of the metal is slightly different from ingot (?) to ingot.  :-\

Possibly it's because the minis I bought are new sculpts and so cleaner cast - what little needs cleaning comes off easier.
