Thanks, Kitty. Yes,  I agree about the dice and markers not looking particularly good. Playing solo (which means I have to keep track of twice as much) they let me see at a glance (and at a distance) the status of every unit and easily update them. I have actually thought about putting a small bank of DIP switches on the sabots but not ready to commit yet.

Suggestions about other ways would be very appreciated.
