Wow great minis, i'm painting syw prussians too (for infantry i've chosen awi range minis) but thoose of yours are on another category. You are my painting guru!

Looking at the above figures I wonder why bother using AWI proxies for SYW when there is a huge range of the real thing beautifully produced.

Well i choosed to have AWI infantry instead of SYW mainly for two reasons: i have  a british and an american army for AWI so i thought i could use the prussians as german mercenaries for AWI without concerns about their dimension compatibility (as you know AWI range is sligthly bigger than SYW). Then for sure SYW sculpts are good but AWI are even better and i found them easier to paint since their details are more outstanding.
