Next time I get to the UK - haha - I'll have to arrange travel dates around one show like Salute!    - gaming wise there's just nothing like this here in NZ  (or Oz I think - never been to Cancon so don't know what that's like).

Come to Edinburgh in early August some year, bring the family and do SESWC's Claymore (1st Saturday in August) and then the Edinburgh Festival and Fringe. Gaming and culture in one package, how could you resist? I'll book a restaurant table

Well in that case I am heading to where a pair of swimming shorts and a sunhat ARE appropriate clothing.

As Billy Connolly once said, if you don't like the weather in Scotland, wait 15 minutes and it will change. I always found it strange that he never actually said what it would change into.

I thought the lighting was much improved this year. looks like the lighting has been upgraded with LED's.

The lighting got noticeably brighter while we were unpacking on the Friday afternoon, so they've either got new lights or someone put an extra 20p in the meter...

This was my second visit to Salute, and I enjoyed it very much. Hoping to post some videos of the demo games soon. This year I bought only those shiny things I absolutely need. Honest.
