The computer was supposedly repaired this afternoon....(Yes...on a bank holiday  )

Matey puts it back to Windows 8....." That'll sort things out....You won't have lost anything".

Well, I CAN download photo's from both cameras now.....+1 to Phil (A very small mercy.)
Unfortunately...

1)  Firefox and the Google search don't really play nicely together anymore...(Had to go round the houses to get here).

2) Every single one of my saved e'mails has fekked off into the ether......along with

3) EVERY single contact.......Which means many of your good selves will probably get slung into the spam bin if you mail me at the moment.

4) The Mail app needs sorting out......again

I give up !

The irony is, Ian.......

I got Matey to bring round a new 1Tb external hard drive yesterday......But that's still in its box, waiting for me to connect it.......Should have asked him to plug that in and get it running before doing anything else. 

Although there were umpteen 'mails in the sent items and inbox (I keep a lot of stuff for ages before deleting it) I don't think there was anything absolutely critical.
There was one, I'll have to get resent.....But that's all I can think of.

I had a look at orange webmail, this morning...Thinking I might glean some info from that......But no......I cleared most of that out last week...(Of course I did)..Pants !

What I find so strange is that there were a handful of mails still in the deleted folder of 'Live Mail'......Why didn't those get wiped ?

Been having a play this morning, and I think I can get Firefox & Google to play nicely, as they did before.....I assume the PC's just returned them to their default settings and I need to go and check and uncheck a few boxes. (Which probably means I'll b*gger something else up.)

Sorry to keep whingeing.....Computers have the capacity to wind me up like a very cheap alarm clock.

The only things that are coming through at the mo', are lots of spambots trying to join our esteemed company.

I'll scribble those instructions out, then see if I can find the equivalent 'tutorial' on Youtube, as well...(So I can see some pretty pictures)....Otherwise, knowing me, I'll get totally lost.
