I don't think my wife likes me very much, when I had a heart attack she wrote for an ambulance.

Very nice - they are next up for me as well, just 4 Austrian hussar regiments left to go!

Just the one comment really - the infantry breeches look rather grey is that light effect or are they lacking a highlight?

We'll not comment on light blue jackets, 'cos they're cool even if wrong  8)

I think they look great and in 10mm you should paint lighter than real life.

Rimmer: "Aliens."

Lister: "Oh God, aliens... Your explanation for anything slightly peculiar is aliens, isn't it?

Rimmer: "Well, we didn't use it all, Lister. Who did?"

Lister: "Rimmer, aliens used our bog roll?"

My source material (Digby Smith) said the trousers were grey...  :( So I went for a darker grey I haven't used. I might try the lighter grey I have which I used on my Austrians which is almost white

Easily fixed  ;)

But should they be white?? Trawling t'internet white seems to be the way to go.... :-\

The question is, out in the field, how long would they be able to keep them white  ;D

From what i see some light infantry wore grey trousers actually .

Looking good, Nosher !

I suspect everyone's "field trousers" were very swiftly various shades of "muddy grey-brown-ish" no matter what colour they came out the depot as :D

And that's before you get into the whole are they wearing this years issue, last years issue, the campaign overalls/over trousers, left overs from the winter, locally sourced replacements or just suffering the from the generally overburdened-under quality controlled supply system and were issued three slightly different coloured sets within each company :D

If they look about right according to your sources, and you're happy I'd say stick with 'em. After all, we can barely agree what colour uniforms and kit was in WW2 and that's in living memory!

All true stuff - depends if you're painting for that worn, campaign look though. In which case, soaked to the skin in muddy greatcoats is probably the norm  ;)

They should be white breeches for the line - if it was me I'd pop a (very) light grey highlight across them, it'll make 'em pop a bit more but not shine out more than the jackets.

Very nice indeed

Take care
