Here is the unit of "Pistoliers."  I'm surprised at how similar they ended up looking to the GW ones.  They did so much more than the knights.  Still some tiny touch ups to do, but I'm feeling too lazy for that right now.

A couple of things I am wondering about.  What is the best way to paint the faces?  I just did Elf Flesh with a brown wash and then some highlights with elf flesh again.  Maybe it's the sculpts, but more lightly my painting, but I just have a hard time making it look at all like a face.  Some of the helmets have nose guards, and that doesn't help anything either.

Also I might replace the teal on the flag with white.  The teal might look just a little too modern there.

I think the next project will be the Flagellant monks!  Thanks to everyone for your comments!

Looks good!

TBH if you've undercoated black then the flesh can be down with a "T stripe" and a dab for each cheek - at least at gaming distance that'll give good looks, and if you want more then a smaller, lighter highlight  across the same point will do it! Or flat paint & wash works fine, again a light drybrush can bring it up if you want (or not :D)).

Those look good to me though :) Nice grim expressions, just right for someone staring down the maw of a chaos beast!

Funnily enough I've just been reading Warmaster Ancients with a view to putting together some 10mm Condotta armies using my old Empire figures and the new Pendraken 1513 figures.

These have turned out very nicely, great conversions. I do like the new thinner bases too.

Not sure why it didn't occur to me before, advancing age and creeping senility probably, but there's a Sword & Buckler Man (EL6) in the Elizabethan range who'd be ideal as an Empire skirmisher.

Thanks all!

The "T stripe" is a good way to think about it!  I will try that for my next models.

I need to find a way to get a hold of those rules, especially for Warmaster Medieval.  Pretty spendy on amazon and eBay sadly.

I do really like that model, the one downside is it's mono pose.  Not only is it a mono pose, but one that would be very difficult to do any conversions with.  However that model mixed with the Warmonger Zweihanders might be enough variety for my liking.

Just did some work on my Flagellants, just one stand so far, hopefully more soon.

The jewelry chain was good idea.  Thanks for that Ithoriel!

The Flagellants are finished!  For the most part anyways.  I might try to add some ornament on the top of the small banner.  I have not idea how to even attempt sculpting something that small.  I need to touch up the bases a bit apparently also, but I didn't notice that til I saw it on a big screen!
