Yep.....I'd agree with that, too.
You're doing a great job though, Neil....Keep it up !
Cheers - Phil.

I think both are an improvement over the earlier purple flowery bases. But like Steve I like the left hand one the most.

Nice to see these progressing.

The first MG team based up:

I think I'm starting to get the "sparse" look down.

Tomorrow's job is to base up the rest of the unit, 5 more bases of infantry and 2 more MG teams. The CO base will have to wait until I pick up my new order at Warfare as that contains a range of command figures for me to choose from.

Really nice to see how much progress you've made in so short a time. The sparse look really is the way to go IMHO.

Coming along nicely.

Take care

Thanks everyone. The support and encouragement is really appreciated. Hopefully either tomorrow or Friday I will be able to post a picture of the almost complete Company of the Bishop of Salisbury's Volunteers.

Finally the finished company of The Bishop of Salisbury's Volunteers:

All that's missing is the CO base, but that will have to wait until I pick up my order at Warfare. Will give me time to figure out what the heck to put on it. 40mm circular is a lot of base.

Figures are mainly Pendraken WWI Middle East British with a smattering of some AVBCW figures for variety.

I have enough ME Brits and Indians left to do a Chain of Command platoon. Going to get them painted in anticipation of some bases arriving soon.

Then it's a change of scale with some Brigade Models Aeronef British ships to do. Some assembly required first though.

For Cucumber Sandwiches and the Lord!

If you got to Aeronef scale after this, what's next - does anyone make Ordnance Survey scale figures :D

At least the ships are, on the whole bigger than a 10mm figure, so slightly easier to slap paint on. I do have some fighters, but they are just going to get a coat of green and a wash. Not even going to attempt markings!

Thanks all. Fell down a bit of a scenic rabbit hole this morning...

Much cutting, glueing and weathering to come I feel.
