Tournament scenes, fresco in the Palazzo Comunale di San Gimignano, Italy, attributed to Azzo di Masetto

They have poleyns, schynbalds and plate cuisses and epauler on the shoulders.
San Gimignano: Two mounted knights jousting with lances
San Gimignano: Two mounted knights fighting with swords (note the extra arm armour)
San Gimignano: A mounted knight with lance

Poleyns, schynbalds and plate cuisses can also be seen on a sculpture of Guillaume de Durford, in Santissima Annunziata Church, Florence
