Hello

I'm ashamed to show these minis, as most of the minis here are of greater quality ( I'm not a good painter,I know !  ;D )
But as I started 1809 ( French & Austrian, I will mainly play solo ) I wanted to show them. It will force me to paint  :D

I used grass for the first time. It's so quick and easy.. Why did I wait for so long ?!  :o

( for he story, I used to play 6mm napoleonics, a long time ago - before the internet ! ???  - and lost my armies... So I'm back to this era. And I realized I have many things to learn and/or relearn ! )

They look good to me ronan!

It's only Napoleonics - people don't expect much! ;)

Any updates buddy?  These look great, and I'm trying to encourage you to keep going!  :D

Nothing wrong with the figures, they look really good. What I would do to improve the overall look is change your basing style. Try a sand and glue mix, paint with a yellow ochre colour, wash with a chocolate brown, dry brush with tan yellow followed by buff. Finally add flock or static grass, but don't cover the whole base:

Another option, particularly if you have quite a few based already, would be to add some shrubs, rocks and/or different flock to add some variety

Of course if you are happy with them, don't change a thing ;)

Didn't spot the 'ill mostly play solo' part the first time i checked this post!

What rules will you be using?

Leon026

Nice! I like what you did with the French and have the Voltigeurs and Grenadier very distinct. I also love that you have the battalion commanders based individually and the colonel of the regiment on horseback (unless I'm mistaken). What sort of ruleset are you using?
