Waterloo British released! (Part 1!)

On the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo, and after some unfortunate delays at our end, we're very happy to release Part 1 of our new 1812-1815 Napoleonic British!  This first batch covers all of the foot, command and cavalry codes, and we'll be following this up with the artillery, limbers and personalities in a few weeks time.  (There was a slight issue with the artillery carriages so we're just working on those.)  We'll also be putting together one of our usual army packs once the range is complete.

Looking very good indeed.  Must be a first for the hobby to include two standard bearers in a British command set, rather than the usual inadequate one!  (I'm sure someone will correct me ;)

Yes, they are looking good.    :-bd

... but to be honest (sorry), still puzzled as to why, in the 18th Century and ACW ranges cords are included in the drums but not in the Naps range .....
I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be.

from a painters point of view I would much prefer not to have drum cords. With drum cords you can't paint the details on the drum, not enough space to get into the gaps (I've tried). Without cords you can paint the detail on, then paint the cords on.

the code  NBR15 Highlander mounted General (1)  is he wearing trews or kilt ? or is he wearing what generals normally wore at the time, so  could he  be used for any type of general in the army and not just a Highland general

I hope the mounted Highlanders are wearing breeks, mighty men indeed going commando on horseback with a kilt ;)

I guess, while NBR14 Highlander mounted officer is correct, NBR15 Highlander Mounted General is a normal mounted general and that the word 'Highlander' just crept in by mistake.

The two mounted types are wearing trews, bit rough on a horse wearing a kilt!  The NBR15 code is down as a Highlander General on the sculptor's notes, although I'm sure he can be used in other areas.
