This is one of our more local shows and is always a good day out.  Organised by the Border Reivers wargames club, it takes place on Saturday 5th September, at the Gateshead International Stadium.  There's a bit more info about the club on this site: http://borderreiverswargamessociety.co.uk/, although the show dates haven't been updated.

We'll need any pre-orders sent in before Sat 29th August please.

Excellent day at Border Reivers today.  Loads of interest in Warband.  Great to meet you all.  I'm now hoarse from all the talking.   :D

It was a good show. The Warband game looked good, I liked your terrain mat (as well as the armies).

The shows was great today, really busy, good sales, and the Warband game looked excellent, so thanks to Steve and Graeme for putting that on!

Those Dwarves look the bees knees. Some of the best figures and painting I've seen in a long while  ;)

Good report, Jim. Thanks for posting (been a fan of your blog for some time now).   :-bd

Just a wee note: the Mule Shoe Salient was at Spotsylvania which was fought shortly after the Wilderness (only reason I know is that I visited the Spotsylvania battlefield last week and stood within the actual Salient).
I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be.
