Easiest way to glue wheels - stick a small blob of Blu-Tak on the work-surface, press the wheels, rims upward, into the Blu-Tak, an axle-width apart and leaning outwards slightly. Place glue on each end of the axle and hold the gun-carriage between the two wheels. Gently press the wheels inwards until the axle-stubs engage. Make sure the wheels are upright and parallel, then leave to harden.

The whole thing takes longer to describe than to do.
