The larger fighter and attack aircraft are well catered for by 1/144 plastics,  but what about a few of the small recon and liaison types that feature in BWC and CWC rules ?  Many are too small to ever feature in popular kit form, but would appeal to (a) wargamers and (b) N gauge railway modellers.

I was thinking of:

1. Cessna Birddog

2. Piper Grasshopper

3 Auster AOP

4. BA SA3 or SIAI Marchetti

Would these be of interest to gamers on the forum ?

Aren't the flames of war airplanes 1/144?

They do an auster and a grasshopper IIRC

Hello Sunray

What I've been able to find is:-

Auster AOP - http://foxonemodel.fc2web.com/original/o8/original_08e.html, pricey resin kit from Japan

From Créations Chaubet http://jacques.chaubet.free.fr/index02e.htm a Cessna Birddog http://jacques.chaubet.free.fr/fra1950/0l19.htm

and as a bonus a Max Holste MH1521 "Broussard" which can be used in other theatres:-
