Techno

Last night, just for a bit of fun, I had an experiment on a couple of 'bits' that were sitting amongst the clutter on the desk.
Results......Good/interesting so far.
BUT.........
I would advise anyone NOT to suck the brush when using raw eggs unless you want an upset 'gut'.
I DID use eggs from the Techno Towers' chickens.....They're probably smothered in campylobacter or salmonella.

So I've undercoated a few British WWII figs, will have a go at painting them tonight in various eggy blends.

I've also got my three trial bases of white as it comes from the bottle, white pigment with an egg white/water medium and white pigment with an egg yolk/water medium.

I went for white rather than rhode island red.

And Techno is right. Sucking the *cluck* brushes does taste *cluck* a bit off. Also, despite the *cluuuuck* change of daylight saving, I *craa* got up at sunrise this morning and *craaaaa* was very chipper.

I used to have a friend who swore by the technique of mixing eggs in with paint for basing.  Can't remember if he used the white, yolk, or both.  Maybe he used oils or some other paint?  It struck me as odd at the time, but from reading some of the replies here, maybe there was something to it?

Also have a dim memory of being told that egg is handy for re-pointing the tips of brushes.  Not tried either of them myself, mind.

All sounds a bit yucky to me!
