I was looking through the 20th Pendraken thread last night ( what else are Saturday Nights for?) and noticed a lot of forum members names that used to bequite regular posters on the forum but seem to have disappeared

Not real point to me asking ,except its seems  a bit of a shame
If I were creating Pendraken I wouldn't mess about with Romans and  Mongols  I would have started with Centurions , eight o'clock, Day One!

petercooman

You think they stopped posting when someone started nagging for centurions?  :P

People's interests change - different periods, different scales, different hobbies even.

Their life circumstances change. The get married, get divorced, have kids, have kids leave home, get jobs, lose jobs or retire.

Some, sadly, shuffle of this mortal coil.

I would be more surprised if they were all still posting here.
There are 100 types of people in the world, those who understand binary and those who can work from incomplete data

Maybe some come to realise the forum is like Camelot in "The Holy Grail"

"Tis a silly place."  In fact, when I think of the forum bar, I imagine exactly that scene.  ;D

Also, maybe some have been committed :D

Advanced aphasia? Some have probably forgotten that last, critical 5% of language skill that keeps xxxx and xxxxxxx posting here.

And some members go to live in the most amazingly beautiful parts of the country - and remove themselves from civilisation and t'internet. Daft buggers (like me).

"The regiment is immortal" and so is the forum (in theory, at least).
When you realise we're all mad, life makes a lot more sense.

I intend to die at an advanced age and be found typing a last acerbic message of the forum.

So, another 40 years or so from me.  :D
