What sources are you using for your uniforms?
I'm drawing a blank I'm several units at the moment...

The Army of James II Uniforms and Organisation       by Stephen Ede-Borret

and 3 Osprey books
Army of Louis 14th
Jacobite Rebellion........this doesn't have that much on Ireland
Battle of the Boyne

and ive got the Mcnally, Battle of Aughrim to come

They are a little brighter than they appear in the photo's. Lighting was a problem and using a flash took all depth out of the picture to the point that they appeared flat. A course on macro photography is needed now  :D

All the pics in this thread were taken with a Video cam while i moved a day light bulb around, i just chose the best out of them. The pics taken with my camera have no flash settings available and all looked terrible to be honest. I think i need to buy that bounce flash ive been promising to buy sooner rather than later.

thats what i planned..the day before sunny, day of photoshot.....chucking it down. Teach me to leave it til the last moment i suppose. lol

Might be cheaper just to get yourself a mini-tripod and fire the still camera on ten-second delay. It's what I do.

For me, the photography has turned out to be WAY harder then the painting.
Buy plenty of Matron's sculpts now!

If he keeps using the chainsaw, the value of his work will soon go up.
