Probably the largest piece used in the field was the culverin - a 17 - 20 pounder gun, mainly used as a siege-piece. The demi-culverin, a 10 pounder, would probably be the biggest gun used with the field army. Your SYW 12 pounder would therefore be perfectly suitable for the Thirty Years War. I use them as WSS guns.

Would EC23 work for Heavy Artillery in 30YW?  I don't see a pic, so I am not sure.
