I am planning to build a couple of BKC armies and am thinking of using 6mm.

I've looked at the options available and realised that the price and quality of minis is incredibly varied.

So suggestions please, ideally I'd like to use a single range with the most variants.

Do you have a similar army?  Open to ideas.
Buy plenty of Matron's sculpts now!

If he keeps using the chainsaw, the value of his work will soon go up.

I have a German late war panzer division and a Russian force with a lot of the support vehicles. Most of it is Heroics and Ross

with a few backups from Irregular.

The quality of the former is really quite good while the latter is varied.

Thanks Sub, I was thinking of H&R; they seem to strike a good balance between quality and price.

How good do H&R infantry look?

Far better than the vastly over hyped GHQ stuff.

I thought the GHQ minis look really good but far too expensive.  You can almost get 3 10mm tanks for the price of 5 of their 6mm's!

The only downside of H&R infantry is their size, they are more 5mm than 6mm, have you taken a look at Adler stuff? http://home.clara.net/adlermin/

or http://home.clara.net/adlermin/WW2/WW2PAGES/WW2OPENINGPAGE.htm

Theyre cheap enough, and the quality is good.

Yeah I agree Gordon, the H&R minis look "thin."

Not sure about Adler; they look a bit chunky  :-\

I recommend you Heroic and Ross

best Quality/price for real 6mm

Thanks, the "problem" with this forum is there are so many different opinions and they're all good  :)

You c an always ask for samples from all the manufacturers cost should be just a touch over minimum postage. Try painting the samples and see which ones you like best.

Tbh apart from GHQ 6mm is cheap enough you can bung a few battalions together just to see which ones you like :D

My vehicles are mostly H&R - generally excellent at excellent prices. GHQ's infantry are indifferent at best and I find many of their vehicles are "over done" (even without the huge price difference I'm not a great fan - and tbh you might as well go 10mm for their prices!). I've found Scotia & others to be like H&R but more variable in quality/crispness of sculpt.

For infantry I'm generally with Adler these days as they're a bit chunkier and I prefer them :)

Thanks all.

By general consensus, it will be H&R vehicles with Adler infantry  ;)

Wise choice, a decent sized battlegroup will only roll you back a tenner at worst :) Although I then find the temptation to expand hard to resist ;)

If I get out for £50 I'll be happy.  I tend to go a "bit" mad  :-[
