This pair of post-war trucks dropped through the Pendraken letterbox recently, so here's some pics!

On the left we've got the Mercedes L4500, a truck produced in large numbers (70,000+) of both civilian and military varieties.  This one comes with a handy separate cover as well, just to give some options.

Then on the right we've got the Soviet Zil 151/5, a 3-axle all wheel drive truck built after WWII.  Tens of thousands of these were produced, both in the Soviet Union and later in China, under license.  The chassis of this truck was later used for the BTR-152 APC.

I always have a great deal of admiration for 'the straight line' designers !
Those look excellent, to me.

OOOoh! Pretty!  :D

For many years I ignored trucks, them being "softskins", but since I've been a good and loyal servant of the Dark Lord, I have found the delights of massed lorries.

Buy plenty of Matron's sculpts now!

If he keeps using the chainsaw, the value of his work will soon go up.

Rimmer: "Aliens."

Lister: "Oh God, aliens... Your explanation for anything slightly peculiar is aliens, isn't it?

Rimmer: "Well, we didn't use it all, Lister. Who did?"

Lister: "Rimmer, aliens used our bog roll?"

Very, very nice work!

Cheers,

fred.

They look very nice.

You can never have too many trucks.

(well you can, but when you do have too many for a game, you just need to look at the ToE for a typical late war unit and see how many they had. Unless its a German unit, then you can have 4 horses)

There's a certain artistry in being able to fashion something that neatly. Superb work.  =D>

The back comes off the Russian truck so it can be converted later. :D
