Hi looking at the excellent Late Roman Range it's clear they are in need of a little further opposition. The er is a Sassanid range but it's somewhat limited, certainly in the cavalry department. Any chance of expanding this range with some of Clib's outstanding sculpting. Charging Cataphract on fully/ half barded and armoured horses, Clibinari with lance and firing bow? Daylami regular armoured  infantry, full set of commands, rear rank archers firing overhead, levy and pisiloi.

Quick question, if the Sassanids went to all the trouble of developing sophisticated armour for Cataphracts and melee cavalry, would'nt they have used something similar for their Elephants, surely a hugely expensive asset in terms of upkeep, training and replacement? Wouldn't they have gone to similar efforts to armour their beasts as say the Seleucids? Rather than just the cloth and howdah we often see on current Sassamid models?

Anyway Leon and Clib if you see this please give it a thought. ;)

Thanks for the comment, much appreciated.

We do have some plans to revamp and resculpt most of the Ancients ranges, but I'm not sure at this point if it'll be Clib or Techno doing the Sassanids.  Clib is very busy with other work, plus still has AWI and LoA additions to be done, so adding a Sassanid range to his pile might not be viable!  The range will be redone though, so if we get to it and Clib's still busy, then it'll be Techno who does them, in the same style as the redone Carthage and Republican ranges.

This is a conversion of AB's 15mm Sassanids but along the lines of what I had in mind
