fsn had it within his pile of guesses earlier on, so you just need to work out which one...  :-\

As for the "first for Pendraken" I'm guessing delivery by drones, the Top Totty thread into a range, or a web cam so we can watch you all work and play X-box ... maybe not ... or a bulk discount or chariot armies or Byzantines or .... or an open evening (black tie) at Pendraken Towers, or ships and trains or signed photos of Leon with every order ... or a drone range or delivery by Top Totty ... or base boards or ... Korean war infantry .... or more League of Ausberg ('cos that's what is needed) or 1946  or oh no! not Aztecs! or Techno doing live performances in your home or Pendraken rule sets or ... 6mm or 15mm or 20mm or ... Top Totty doing live performances in your home or ... or ... most things are already covered ... Oh! A shop selling Pendraken goodliness ... or a taste-meter on the Forum (no, silly) or no more kneeling figures pre 1900 ... musicians, civilians, ... or  delivery by a barber shop quartet singing "Daisy, Daisy" ...

Delivery by drone - not practical. Ditto Barber Shop Quartet.

Delivery by Top Totty - one half of the Pendraken clientele would die of a heart attack and the other half would die at the hands of their SO.

A shop? Possible but in this day and age aren't businesses getting out of bricks and mortar?

Open Day at Pendraken Towers? Not really "a first". Though a first for that iteration of PT, I believe.

Photos of Leon? Feasible, affordable but perhaps not a great draw. Sorry Leon!

Korean War, Byzantines, Chariot Armies, LoA or Aztecs? Again not quite "a first" - new ranges always welcome though. Ships and trains are not "a first" either.

Quite like the idea of Phil doing live performances in your home - not quite sure what of though :)

New scale? Possible and deffo "a first."

Pendraken rules - possible, other companies do it and it would be "a first".

Then there's the web cam. Orders by Skype? Again a possible.

Finally, base boards? Would be a first. Pendraken have been doing a lot more terrain.

So ... ordering 6mm scale base boards by Skype to use in Pendraken Chariot Wars rules games anyone? :D

How to muck out a stable in double quick time....But Leon vetoed that suggestion. :'( :'( :'(

Cheers - Phil (The Barber Shop Quartet demo sounded appalling....I'm sorry, but that one just isn't going back in the CD player.)

Hmm, think I'll go with "rules".

10mm would be good but I guess would be cheaper and thus cut into the profits - and we don't want Pendraken going bust guys!!

Fenton

Do we have to tie this new venture in with the top secret sculpting job Techno is doing for Dave?
If I were creating Pendraken I wouldn't mess about with Romans and  Mongols  I would have started with Centurions , eight o'clock, Day One!

fsn

I don't think so. That's for Dave's "private" collection.  I believe it is so secret that Techno has to wear a blindfold whilst sculpting.

Hmmm you could be right

In the same way the Perrys sculpted a private WW1 range for Peter Jackson, Techno is doing  something similar for Dave?

I wonder what it could be?...Anyone think of anything?

Techno

I can't.....There are two webcams in the room.....One pointed at me....One fixed to the optivisor.

The phone rings...I put it on hands free....Get told to put on the blindfold and then I'm told where to push the putty, by a remote voice.
An awful lot of simply feeling around the desk at this point.
Got through an awful lot of elastoplast to start with. (I think Dave thought it was a merry jape to have me pick up the scalpels by the blade end, until I cottoned on to that !)
At the end of the day I have to put 'whatever it is' in a sealed box in front of one of the webcams.

I think I've only been making parts of models....I expect my colleagues have been doing the same thing....and we're forbidden to contact each other at present to compare 'notes'.
I assume all the bits will be assembled at Pendraken Towers.

Cheers - Phil

Typical welshman - using terminological inexactitudes - no doubt whilst as tried and emotional as a newt.

I thought the stereotype was:

"The Welshman's dishonest and cheats when he can
And little and dark, more like monkey than man
He works underground with a lamp in his hat
And he sings far too loud, far too often, and flat!" :) :) :)

I said it was a stereotype not that it was true :)

But I'll get on to that just as soon as I finish singing

"The Scotsman is mean, as we're all well aware
And bony and blotchy and covered with hair
He eats salted porridge, he works all the day
And he hasn't got bishops to show him the way!"

At one a.m. on a wet Thursday in August - no problem.

And now the chorus:
"The English, the English the English are best
I wouldn't give tuppence for all of the rest!"  :P :D :P :D :P :D
