Now that is what I expect Italian Wars troops to look like. Even at that date, not a beard in sight amongst the French or Swiss.

Err ... maybe my eyesight isn't what it once was but ...

It looks to me like the Swiss drummer has a beard, the guy behind him to the right has a beard and the halberdier with the feather in his hat (to the left of the drummer) has a beard.

You can only see the chins of two other Swiss, so 60% of the Swiss have beards.

But then the Swiss have seemed like a pretty "beardy" army in most of the Renaissance rulesets I've played

Some t**t was flying a saltire in his garden today. Considering this is deep in England that was rather a two fingered salute. Should Scotland vote for independence I shall insist this foreigner buggers off and stops taking an English job if he's obviously so bloody keen to be Scots. Should Scotland stay then he's obviously a Britain proud of the part of our country he hails from. Can't have it both ways.

Curiously, according to Radio 4, it seems that  the glorious leaders of "our" political parties have encouraged people in the rest of the UK who support union, to fly the saltire. Counter intuitive, or what?

Why shouldn't he want an independent Scotland to retire to once he's grown weary of keeping your economy afloat?

If the Saltire is good enough to fly over Downing Street I'm sure it's good enough to fly in that chap's garden.
