Leon away for a few days.

I have to say the whole thing has gone to the dogs since the wedding. Firstly they're shoving orders out so fast they've arrived before you sent them - where's the delicious expectation? The peering through the letterbox to see if today will be the day? The time spent planning and reviewing what you've bought? - and now Leon has decided it's perfectly acceptable to slope off for a few days without asking us (the worms in the Pendraken tequila) for permission. Does he not realise that if it wasn't for us (the fish heads in the Pendraken star-gazy pie)  he'd be a well adjusted, reasonable sane, happily married man - and none of us wants to se that do we? No, I definitely detect the rustle of petticoats in this wilfulness; there's more than a smack of Horace Wimp in this one. Milday definitely has her prettily beringed fingers in this pie.

Let's face it, it's the thin end of a very big wedge. Leon goes off without telling us for a few days; he thinks he enjoys himself away from the constant please, entreaties and bitching about why there isn't a LoA Kettle Drummer in Polynesian drag and so he thinks he wants to spend more time away. Next thing he'll be taking regular holidays, and complete weekends and before you know it he'll have got himself a proper job that pays real money and his life will be stress free and he'll be able to live a normal life, and he'll sell Pendraken to the Evil Empire and we (the inexplicable staining in the Pendraken underwear) will all have to buy Space-Aztecs (sorry Imperial Space-Aztecs) at grossly inflated prices and they'll close the top totty thread (which to be fair has been languishing a bit) and I will have no life!   :'(

This suggests you consider Leon a responsible adult ................

This may be my fault

We went away last week.  I put in an order a few days before we went, and asked he delay sending it, so it wouldn't be delivered while I was away.

Do you think he misunderstood the idea of the delay, and took that as permission to desert.
I have neither the time nor the crayons to explain why you are wrong.

I'm not sure that it helps that he looks about 14. To an old codger like me, that is.

I tend to think of him more as a carer.

Probably better than finding the naked contents of said clothes!

I may not be in charge.....I may not be responsible......And seeing as I've been described as the oldest 14 year old in the UK, I'll pass on that one too....BUT....
