Here is one of the first regiments of LoA cavalry that I have painted.

These are French Regt St Germain

Nicely done.

Look forward to more pics

Here is an old group shot the armies have increased insize since it was taken.

But you have a French regiment, a French dismounted Dragoon regiment, French Heugonout (Protestsant) infantry regiment and a Dutch cavalry regiment.

I will add more pictures as I paint fresh units.

As always comments welcome

fred.

I like the look of the cavalry.

Are you basing 40x40?

I have a huge pile of these figures, one day they will get painted. I'm tempted to go with 40x40 bases - but am slightly daunted by the number of pikemen I would need to paint to fill a base that size.

Keep going as you have begun. :) Are there enough pikes on those elements, btw? Not one of my periods, So I don't know.

Very, very nice, Bunny. Might I suggest a few flags to set the figures off?

Thanks Guys,

Nice to get encouragement.

Answers to some questions.

I have based them for FOG R but hope to play Pike and Shotte as well.

The number of figures for the pike base is purly random, I thought they looked good without being crammed in.

I have done some flags now which will be fitted.

I have nearly finished two more foot regiments and once based they will be falgged and photgraphed.

There is one thing yet to do to my collection and that is give them a spray coat of Matt varnish, not only does dull and protect the finsih but also enhances the colours and shading, well I think so any way.
