So I have heard ( unconfirmed) at the present moment that they have left GW
If I were creating Pendraken I wouldn't mess about with Romans and  Mongols  I would have started with Centurions , eight o'clock, Day One!

Yowsers!  Didn't they do all The Lord of the Rings figures?

Part of me won't be surprised IF that's true, Steve.

I'm assuming this could be good news for historical gamers.

I thought they did only contract work for GW anyways.  :-\

But then again, their Fantasy game is essentially dead, their SciFi game performing so well that they have shown -12 sales and -30 % income for half year.

Their latest edition change seems to severely backfire just like centralising all customer service in UK (which most of the time cannot be contacted!). Things are looking up for Pendraken and Co....  8)

I thought they'd left a long time ago.

The Perry's what have left? (I'll get it in before FK does)

I had thought of it, but I'm too depressed to comment on illiteracy until term resumes.

From The Perry's Facebook page:

"We are aware that there are rumours flying around that we have left Games Workshop! Thought we should set the record straight and let you all know that...we have! After 36 years, man and boy, working on Warhammer, 40K and of course, for the last 15 years LotR and the Hobbit we are now able to focus our energy on our historical ranges. This means more time to dedicate to Perry Miniatures, and of course Mr Jackson who we continue to make 54mm WW1 figures for. We had an excellent evening on Friday at The Trip to Jerusalem with GW, and ex-GW, colleagues and friends who got us very, very drunk - cheers!"

Come on Leon, The Perrys are unemployed. Time to send them an email asking if they would like to move to Middlesbrough and do some sculpting for you ( after they have done the 6 week training course in Pembrokeshire first of course)

I think "unemployed" is somewhat of a misnomer. :)

Some very nice, if seriously over scale, medieval figures up and coming for a start not to mention the bespoke work for Mr Jackson!

The Perries have 10mm experience under their belts so you would have to retrain them. You might have to pay them more by an order of magnitude though.
