The barricade is 170 in the German WWII list.

Is there any detail of the barricade that wouldn't be suitable for an earlier period?

Gr170 is entirely made up of crates and sacks with a spoked wheel leaning against it. It would certainly work for the C18th onwards.

Warsaw pact infantry please. Just wondered how modern Brit and US infantry? Who would they fight against? Warsaw pact infantry!

A good point.  Opponents are important.  I'm still wondering who the Mongols would fight as there doesn't seem to be anything in the same quality, style or scope.  Open to suggestions.
Returning to the modern British and US, how modern is modern.  Both looked rather different at the height of the Cold War from what they did at the end, and from what they do today.
I really like the idea of WW1 as a 'project' but until somebody brings out a comprehensive trench system in 10mm it remains an idea - something like the stuff Kerr & King do.

You could try the C16th Turks without muskets and artillery.

I find the kallistra trenches a bit odd - considering the hexon tiles are about 5-6mm deep, I'm not sure why they didn't drop the trenches down a bit, rather than build them up high.

I've actually played around a bit with cutting trenches out of blue foam with a dremel - which is very easy for 10mm sized trenches.

I'm using GWSH for WWI, which is 1 base for a company - so trenches are pretty much area terrain in this scale, rather than direct holes in the ground.

I used a fair number of their Chinese to make up my Ming army. They're very good, but do loom a bit over others.
I don't drink coffee to wake up. I wake up to drink coffee.

Khwarizmian, Mamluk, Kangli, Cuman and Bulgar using the Arab range, Polish using the European Mid Medieval range, Samurai using the ... or a pinch, any and all and all of the other nomad tribes such as the Naiman, Tatar and Kerait etc. using...the Mongol Range (sorry). Another company does compatible Sung/Jurchen/Xsi Xsia Chinese but the tricky one is Russians -no one makes them as yet. I've asked but am not really holding my breath.
