The AWI wagons and carts is an interesting item and one I would like to add a vote for even though I do not do AWI. Ideally these models should be generic across many ranges.

What I have a need for is barricades. In my 19th century rules infantry if left alone long enough infantry can loophole walls and set up barricades to make strong-points with-in villages, farms and churches and to represent this I am looking for wagons, boxes, sacks etc that can be used on a troop sized base to represent this level of fortification.

It would be nice if you also added cargo to the wagons because this could also be used with the wagons.

Cheers, Rob  :)

Has the wounded / casualty request dried up. If so I would like to request Napoeonic or generic Horse and Musket casualties please. These are esential for marking hits and unit status with 10mm units as I dont remove casualties.

Thanks, Rob  :)

The German WWII range has some boxes and stoves, so a good place to start.

Then I think from the Late Middle Ages ranges onwards there are a variety of wagons etc on offer Rob, that should suit for barricades etc. Hope this helps?

Anyone know what 'boxes and stoves' look like?

Avoiding the temptation to give the obvious answer

The boxes are medium to large sized, rectangular wooden.

The stoves are nice, cylindrical with a chimney with cone shaped top.

There are also boxes and sacks in the WWII German list.

ECW range has a nice range of accessories ( barrels,  baskets and a few cannon balls )

There are barricades in the WWII range - but don't know if they would be too modern for what  you need.

Reading this thread in pieces - so sorry for all the separate replies.

I'm interested in what AWI wagons would look like, as there are already a good number of wagons in various ranges - including SYW

Thanks Steve and Fred, I was aware of the various period wagons but I'd missed the boxes/sacks.

Cheers,  :)

They do say a picture speaks a thousand words. All culled from various Pendraken ranges. The final picture shows three wagon bodies, the las turned on it's side to reveal contents;

Thats a great photo!
The box to the front is the one in the boxes and stoves (and boxes and sacks) in German WII. The large box behind it is a crate from the Dungeon range.

To the right of the tents are the various bits from the ECW pack.

The barricade on the far right looks like it would work for a fairly wide range of periods - might have to get some of these on my next order

I remember this being mentioned long ago, but have lost track if it's been actioned - can we get Russians in holes? Or, more officially, Soviet WWII soldiers in a Trench. I believe there are Brits & Germans, but no Russkies. The ground wasn't always frozen hard...

Nice to see the T35 in there. I think I already voted for that one. I'll vote again, and buy two  :D

Apparently Russians and Americans didn't dig in like those cowardly Brits and Germans :)

I presume it would primarily be a reworking of the existing heads ... though that may just show how little I know!

Not only did I miss boxes etc, I missed what looks like a barricade =)

Thanks DP

Just been reading in Catastrophe:1914 how some of the British guards lost all their kit when their baggage wagons were incorporated into road barricades, then they precipitately retreated (apparently because their corps commander, Haig, was having a cisis of confidence.

I'm really pleased to see the Gangsters so high up on the list, but if/when they become reality I have no idea what rules to use with them.

Maybe I need to start some early research now.
