Thanks for the kind comments guys. This is the first bit of painting I've done for a few year so it gives me a kick up the arse to do some more

What sizes are the bases?

Figures are based for warmaster (20mm x 40mm) although it may be a while before they are ever used in anger due to geography (I live in rural shropshire) and family (3 kids 2 of which are pre-school), ie currently I have no life

Got a pile of dacians to work through to go against these guys, really like the dacian shield designs, all vines and flowers. But been distracted by Normans, Saxons and now crusaders (like most others I'm easily influenced by whats on the tv)

Yes all freehand, bit of a bugger to do but not as much as painting on the sandal straps

Yep, nice town not far from me, used to love playing cricket there, cracking ground beautiful setting, pints in the castle hotel after (unfortunately cricket has also been put on the back burner since having kids, my significant other fails to understand that only civilised games last all afternoon, have a break inbetween for tea and cake and where post match drinks are compulsory  )
